A native of Arizona, Joshua Greer practices in the area of commercial litigation in connection with real estate and title insurance, contracts, product liability, landlord and tenant issues, and corporate disputes. Mr. Greer has litigated extensively in the Arizona Superior Courts, Arizona Court of Appeals, the US Bankruptcy Court, the Arizona District Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Specifically, Mr. Greer has represented clients in a wide range of matters arising out of development agreements and other contracts. He has successfully obtained injunctive relief protecting a client’s property from immediate destruction resulting from a contractual dispute. Mr. Greer has also litigated extensively in the Bankruptcy Court. He has represented the liquidating agent in a $900 million bankruptcy proceeding; this representation has involved numerous hearings before the Bankruptcy Court, the District Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Greer has participated in extensive real estate related litigation and has represented a large corporate landholder in an adverse possession suit involving a claim to over 24 acres of riparian property. More recently, Mr. Greer first-chaired a four-day reasonableness hearing involving the application of Morris and its progeny to title insurance. The Court ultimately held that Morris applies to title insurance and that the agreement advocated for by Mr. Greer was reasonable. He has also represented numerous clients in landlord tenant disputes and adversarial administrative proceedings.
Mr. Greer has also represented pro bono clients through the Volunteer Lawyer’s Program and the Save the Family Foundation, in both real estate disputes and family law issues.
In 2009, Mr. Greer was appointed by Governor Brewer to serve as a member of the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners. He served on the Dental Board for two full terms until 2018. In 2018, Mr. Greer was appointed by Governor Ducey to serve on the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy, where he currently serves.
