Jay Moyes, Steve Wene, Jeff Zimmerman, and Jason Moyes make up the Moyes Sellers & Hendricks Ltd. environmental legal team. They have substantial and widely varied practices in environmental law.
Our attorneys have handled a broad range of complex environmental issues involving air, water, solid and hazardous waste disposal, and groundwater contamination. They have conducted environmental real estate audits; obtained permits for complex industrial projects, such as major gas-fired electric generating plants; and have negotiated and drafted state environmental, natural resources, and utility laws.
Jay’s practice has a solid focus on environmental law. For more than 30 years, he has represented agricultural and irrigation districts, landowners, farmers, real estate developers, utilities, and municipalities.
Steve has an extensive background in environmental law. He represents clients with water quality issues, including pollutant releases and treatment. He has experience with site pollution, remediation, permitting, and negotiating with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality regarding compliance concerns and violations.
Environmental law is a strong component of Jeff’s practice as well. He facilitates environmental assessments, environmental permitting of all types, Arizona aquifer protection permits, Arizona AZPDES permits, Clean Water Act Section 404 (dredge and fill) permits, asbestos, PCBs, hazardous materials spill notifications, solid and hazardous waste permits, and Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act recordkeeping and reporting.
Jason has represented and defended agricultural irrigation and electrical districts, as well as small utilities. He has expertise in water rights and other land use planning and permitting matters. Jason has successfully represented clients on numerous state and federal regulatory issues.
